Career history

Hollie has worked with small and medium sized businesses over a period of more than 20 years. In addition, she has experience of working in senior roles in government and with local authorities. Her experience also includes working in industry and dealing with the practical challenges of business growth, sale preparations and raising finance. Hollie completed a LLB (Hons) degree in Law in 2004, has a BSc (Hons) degree in Applied Accounting and is a Fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, after achieving membership in 2010. She has also undertaken specialised training as an expert witness.

In addition to her finance and accountancy work, Hollie spent 8 years as Member then Chair of Cardiff Council’s Standards and Ethics Committee, chairing and adjudicating on legal proceedings considering breaches of the Code of Conduct and sanctions, working with legal advisers. Hollie is an Affiliate member of Resolution, is active in the UK200 Group which prepares the annual UK200 SME Valuation Index and Treasurer of NIFA. Hollie has delivered training sessions on business valuations to solicitors and on financial modelling and forecasting to MBA students, accountancy professionals and businesses. Hollie has worked on a wide range of expert witness assignments and has been instructed as expert in civil, family and criminal proceedings.
