Our members are diverse in size, ranging from sole practitioners to multi-partner practices. We consider all applications on their own merits, though, for
the benefit of all our members, we require potential members to demonstrate their experience in the field of forensic accountancy prior to admission.
Membership of NIFA is by organisation, with up to two nominated individuals per organisation being allowed to attend meetings and conferences. In order to be considered for membership:
- your organisation must be under the control of either chartered accountants or chartered certified accountants;
- your nominated individuals must have at least 3 years' experience in forensic accounting preparing their own reports;
- your nominated individuals must demonstrate their competence and experience by submitting a report to the Board for an initial review. This report will be assessed by our Technical Director who will then make a recommendation as to your acceptance;
- we ask that you have attend at least one members' meeting as a guest; and
- your nominated individuals must either be a full member of The Academy of Experts or the Expert Witness Institute, or seek admission within two years of joining.
If you would like to apply for membership of NIFA, please email
enquiry@nifa.co.uk, giving details of your name, organisation, contact details and
short details of your organisation's forensic accountancy experience. A member of the Board will then contact you and invite you to discuss
your expressed interest. Following that discussion, you may be invited to attend our next members' meeting, and then submit your application for membership.
Your application will be considered by the Board, and you will receive a decision shortly thereafter.
