We regularly act as the appointed Expert Determiner on behalf of the President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and also by local Law Society Presidents. The terms of such appointments are often set out within Sale & Purchase Agreements.
We have acted as the Expert Determiner in relation to both Completion Account and Earn Out disputes arising from business sales. It is important that the Expert Determiner has sufficient technical knowledge to deal with the matters in dispute, but also is familiar with the process, as the Expert will, at times, need to be firm with the parties in dispute in relation to disclosure and their respective obligations.
Our determinations have covered a wide range of industry sectors including manufacturing, renewable energy, professional services, IT and sporting matters.
