POCA: Defendant found guilty of three offences contrary to the Consumer Protection Act 1987 & one offence contrary to the Trade Marks Act 1994. The Prosecution had calculated Benefit to be in excess of £2 million in relation to unexplained deposits through five bank accounts, including deposits that could rightly be attributed as business income – being cash & card takings of the business. Our analysis identified deposits of c.£608k that could not be explained.
