Further to a trading standards investigation in relation to the alleged sale of illicit cigarettes and tobacco products from a newsagents business, the defendant was charged and pleaded guilty to the following offences:
(a) One count contrary to Regulation 48 of the Tobacco and Related Products Regulation 2016; and
(b) Three counts contrary to Section 92(1)(c) of the Trade Marks Act 1994.
He was made subject of confiscation proceedings under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002.
