It was alleged that the director of two companies engaged in architecture and project management abused his position by placing sums of personal and non-business expenditure through his Director Loan Accounts (DLAs). It was argued by the Prosecution that sums placed on DLAs caused or contributed to the failure of the two businesses. We were instructed to explain a DLA, review the expenditure through the DLA and comment upon the solvency of one of the companies.
