Forensic Accountants Ahoy

Actress Amber Heard, Johnny Depp’s wife of 15 months, who is filing for divorce, has apparently asked him to cover her forensic accountant’s fees to the tune of $25,000, as well as $50,000 a month in temporary ‘spousal support’. She has engaged a forensic accountant, as she wants to be certain just how much the actor is worth and even if the divorce were not turning into one of the “most venomous Hollywood has seen”, it is always a good idea to take on one of these experts if there is any suggestion that a spouse might try to hide their assets

Ms Heard appears to be portraying herself as the downtrodden wife but according to one source in the US, she is using claims of violence to make sure she obtains a “premature financial resolution”. She has already filed a financial report with the court and if the Pirates of the Caribbean actor also engages a forensic investigator, which he would be wise to do, his expert will soon discover whether her report  is accurate or not.

It's alleged that Ms Heard earns around $10,000 a month but spends almost $44,000 on “basic expenses”, such as entertainment, gifts and dry cleaning. Without signing a pre-nuptial agreement, it is thought that the actress could get a minimum of $15m in a settlement, or at least $1m for every month of the marriage. Mr Depp would therefore be wise to make his own investigations as soon as possible or he could see a good chunk of his $270m fortune disappear along with his soon-to-be ex-wife.
